No, not to you. If you thought it was funny, you wouldn't be ranting all this below.
I guess you don't read many of Clem's posts, or should I say rants.
They read like the Unabomber's manifesto.
I don't read them all, but quite a few, yes. And they read like no such thing.
Do you agree with Clem that former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough 'isn't and perhaps never has been a conservative?'
Absolutely!
Or that the founder and editor of The Weekly Standard, William Kristol 'gave up true Conservatism many years ago?'
I don't know about years ago, but I know he's nothing more than an establishment Republican, if not turned to a Democrat.
He says crap like that and you say that I'm the one who's nuts?
He's right and you're not well. I used to think it was funny how out-of-touch with reality you are, but now it's gotten to the point that I think it's sad. Your defensiveness has gotten close, if not there, to paranoia.
Isn't it ironic how the very same Conservatives/Republicans that Clem once had great respect for, he now throws under the bus, because they do not support the person in the WH, who for most of his life was a Liberal Democrat.
Perhaps he IS a liberal democrat, just not a leftist prog like you and the VAST majority of today's democrats. Or perhaps he has turned conservative like never before, eh? Apparently you don't understand that the term "liberal" is not what it used to be, by any stretch of the imagination. There was a time, not that long ago, when the democrats still believed in and stood behind the Constitution as written, the rule of law, the separation of powers, the Electoral College, self-responsibility and accountability, our military and its supremacy throughout the world, the right of lawful citizens to bear as many arms as they wished, the unity and sanctity of marriage and family, the definition of marriage, and probably other things I'm not thinking of at the moment.
Then along came LBJ (you want to talk about a boorish prick, look him up) and it all started to8 erode. And it all peaked through the Obama years. Now today, something you need to put in your pretty blue bonnet, the fact is a Republican does not a conservative make! I once liked and respected those two as well, but no longer. Same for McCain, Graham, McConnell, and several other non-conservative Republicans. They have sold out for their "position" because that's all that matters to them, so **** them. I suppose there are no democrats that you once respected but now despise?
